What we do
North Harbour Community Patrollers act as the eyes and ears for the police. Patrolling around the North Shore in pairs or teams, in one of our two marked patrol vehicles, we look for anything suspicious and inform the police immediately.
Safety is a priority for patrollers
- Patrols are during the day, at night and often at special events like Takapuna Lights.
- Patrols are linked in real-time to the police for instant communication and reporting.
- Applicants are vetted by the police before becoming members and must complete ongoing training.
- Patrollers assist at accident and incident scenes and support police and all emergency services.
We attend events such as
- Police open days
- BBQ/sizzles
- Public presentations
- Community events
